Nifedical

I have High Blood pressure and the doctor has presribed Nifedical XL to me to try to lower my BP. Is this safe for my fetus growing inside of me? Does anyone know any side effects it can cause

Nifedical is a Class C drug. It's not known if it will cause adverse effects on pregnant women. If your doctor knows that you're pregnant and prescribed this to you it should be fine. If you still are unsure of this medicine, seek a second opinion or ask for something more safe.

Hi, I hope this post finds your baby growing like a sprout! I also have HBP I have never heard of that medication for HBP, my doc put me on Aldomet, when I went to fill the prescription I double checked with the chemist if it was ok. Maybe you should ask? But I am sure that your doc wouldn't  put you on anything that would hurt your baby? Sorry I wasn't much help. But Google is an awesome search tool :-) Good luck.
