Abnormal pap results?

I got a call from my clinic about having an abnormal pap result. The lady I talked to didn't know much about it. All the information she could give me is it's not serious right now but they want to check again right after the baby is born.
Does this mean I have hpv? Or possibly cancerous cells in my cervix?
Anyone else ever have an abnormal pap?

If your doctor isn't worried than don't be either. Just keep an eye on yourself down there..and if you notice anything off then metion it to your doctor and go from there.
My pap was abnormal and they said they would retest after birth and that was all they said. Around 20 weeks I noticed little bumps down there and my doctor told me my earlier pap came back positive for hpv, but right now there's really nothing they can do. She said that my hpv isn't cancerous just that they would keep an eye on it and make sure the bumps didn't turn into warts. I'm now 28 weeks and still no warts.
This does not mean you have hpv. There could be other reasons why it came back abnormal. This is just what happend to me.

I had an abnormal result when I got pregnant with my first. They removed some cells to test and that was all I ever heard back. When I got pregnant this time it came back normal so don't get too worked up over it.
