No energy and always tired

So I'm 6 weeks pregnant, have literally 0 energy. All I want to do is sleep. Before I got pregnant I was literally running 5-6 miles a day and going 6-7 days a weeks. Any spare time I have I would join local 5 and 10ks just because I enjoy working out. Since I've become pregnant I can't even run a mile. I don't have any energy to work out and it's causing me to be depressed. I too have had a major increase in appetite  .. And all my cravings are the WRONG ones. Before this I ate clean 100% of the time, didn't even crave bad foods. I'm praying this passes because right now I'm having a hard time getting excited. This was a planned pregnant, something we have both wanted for a while. The first 2-3 weeks you couldn't get the smile off my face. Now all I wanna do is stay in bed ;-(. Does anyone know if this is normal???

I was the same before I got pregnant. I was running 3 miles a day, and had 2 30min workouts each day. Weeks 6-11 of my pregnancy I slept probably 16hrs a day, no lie. Its normal.

I was very fatigued in the beginning too, it's when your body is going through the most changes with hormones and starting to develop the baby, it gets better in a few weeks until closer to the end

There are no good or bad foods don't give them that power. A lot of the fatigue is normal but I'd have your Dr check for anemia. If you aren't getting proper nutrition you'll be dead tired because baby is taking your nutrients. I've struggled with anorexia for 10 years and didn't even think I could get pregnant. Its very very hard to change your eating habits but having the support of your family can help. Also I never believed it but hitting that second trimester does help! I'm walking an hour every day now where I couldn't get out of bed before. Good luck!

This sounds very normal. I felt the exact same way as you. My advice is listen to your body. If you feel tired then rest. Your body is changing and needs energy to help create a new life. Try and add in some more healthy foods but its ok to indulge in your cravings. Now is the time to take it easy and pamper yourself. But dont worry I felt way better wheb I reached 14 weeks. Good luck and congrats
