I had the lansinoh breast pump with my first and it was the worst pump! It stopped working after six weeks. I just bought the medela pump in style advanced for my second baby since I heard nothing but good things about it from friends and the reviews I read. I'm only 29 weeks pregnant so I can't tell u how it is but if you buy a pump it's worth spending a little extra on a good brand. I did like having an electric pump when mine did work.
Thanks for the replies girls just seen them now yer I think its so hard decision cos you carnt try them yourself first. But these comments have definatly helped :)
between my electric and manual i for sure prefered the manual pump hands down! lol i found i was able to get more milk faster with it and its a lot quieter.... but on that note i didnt have a madela pump and if i was to get another electric i would for sure spend the extra money for that brand.... for my manual pump its a avente pump and i wouldnt use any other brand for that either...anyway its a big personal preference and can be an expensive desition so if you can borrow or rent a pump to trial i would for sure suggest that :)
I had a manual breastpump. I felt using it often lowered my supply though so that made it difficult! I would say electric are much much easier even though i haven't used one. I had a manual that took ages ..
I hated pumping but my pump is a good one... Madela Pump In Style Advanced. I only used it if I had to be out of town for work and leave my son milk. Otherwise...I took him everywhere and breastfed.
I used a manual & electric breast pump i found they was both good, apart from electric ones are quiker & saves your hand hurting from constant pumping, id go with electric one i had tommie tippi & boots own !
