I'm 20wks along nd they measured my cervix nd its borderline on the length that it should be but I'm at risk of preterm labor nd now I must take the progesterone shots...has anyone else experienced this? Or now how to deal with it best?

I had the same problen with my first pregnancy and now again with my second. In my firat pregnancy i was on complete bedrest and was in and out of hospital and also had the injections. I kept my son in until 37 weeks mainly because everytime something didnt feel right i would call my doc. Dont b scared to report anything even if u think its silly. It saved me from going into labour at 30 weeks. Its a.scary thing to.go through but youll make it through. Good luck with everything.

Yeah you will do just fine but make sure if you feel any type of pain because being cautious is what helped me a lot with gettin this far but im still stuck on bedrest lol

I also have an incompetent cervix at 16wks I started thinning so at 20wks they put in a cervical cerclage. Around 22wks I started having contractions so they ordered the same progesterone shots for me once a week. Im now 28w2d and I still get my shots every Thursday it Burns and one side will burn more than the other. Oh and your first shot will make the injection site pretty sore but its not nothing horrible just a little burning. Is this your first? How far along are you?
