Not feeling the baby.

I'm 38 weeks and 4 days. Well ever since this morning, about 4-5 am (eastern standard time, it's now 2 pm here), I felt as though there was no baby in my tummy at all...so I changed positions, still couldn't feel anything. Got up and walked around, nothing. So I figured maybe she was just sitting a weird way where I couldn't feel her. About 8 am, I could see her leg pushing up against me (it looked like a rod was pressed up against my tummy). But I still had that "empty" feeling in my tummy. She has moved a couple times today, not like she normally does though. I've drank something cold, and usually she would move, but she didn't. The past few days I have been super energetic and today I don't feel as energized. I know the baby is still in there, but it feels like she isn't. I don't know how to describe it. Also this morning I went to pee and it was a fast-paced pee. Like a lot of pee came out of me, but it wasn't that pale yellow like it normally is. Then after peeing, I felt weird. Then a couple seconds later more pee came out, but it didn't feel like I was peeing, like it did, but it didn't go straight down like how when I normally pee. So after that I felt as if it wasn't all pee that came out of me, based on the color and how much actually came out. I'm more worried at the fact that she hasn't really moved much at all today. She is normally pretty active. Should I be worried, or am I just over thinking things?

My water broke early with my first and i didnt have any contractions...i wasnt even sure it was my water that broke...i went in and got checked...sure enough...5 hours later i had her...they had to induce contractions. If your water did break you only have 24 hours before infection can set in and things can get really bad...really quick...im not sure i would wait until tmr!!

Glad she's moving now! If you feel any more wetness/leaking, go get checked by your doctor or l&d.

The whole pee thing is weird to me too. Usually it is the typical yellow color, but it wasn't this morning. I'm definitely going to have her check that out tomorrow.

I'm going to monitor it right now. I drank something and she wiggled after I drank it, and I also ate some chocolate (she likes chocolate lol), and she wiggled some more. My mom said that she might be moving farther down and have less room to move. I have a doctor appointment tomorrow afternoon.

Any time there is a drastic change in your babys activity whether its an increase or decrease of movement that is not normal for your baby it should always be checked just to be safe.  Good luck.

I had a similar situation happen to me yesterday. My son wasn't moving so I rushed to the er and got monitored. It turns out that what I thought were bh were real contractions and my baby was just dormant because of them. It is scary so its always better to get checked and ease your mind. Instead of wondering and guessing what it could be. The nurse also told me to next it happened to drink a cup of juice and lay on my side. The sugar will wake the baby up to and u should feel movement.

I never felt the first stage of labor, better to get checked and then they can watch baby then wonder. With my son he was on his cord. I was lucky to be at the hospital when water broke. I would go get checked. If nothing you go home, but your mind can be at rest also :) good luck momma

That's what I was thinking and it scared me. I'm not having contractions or anything though. Does the baby stop moving when your water breaks?

She has hiccups right now, so I can feel that constant pulse/kicking feeling every few seconds, and she is moving just a little bit with them.
