I am O negative and also have had to get the rhogam shot with each of my pregnancies. It's no big deal. Being a phlebotomist I deal a lot with blood types, and it does most definitely matter what your blood type is. If your negative and your baby is a positive than your body will attack the baby. The shot helps to prevent that from happening. As long as you get the shot at 28 weeks and again at delivery, you & baby should be fine
Im O + and never had to get a shot for my first or even this pregnancy
I am also rh negative and yes u will have to get it every time u get pregnant ive gotten it with all my kids .... u get it at 27 weeks and pending the baby's blood type u and bsby will get it after u deliver .... if anyone has any ?'s about it feel free to ask and ill tell u what I know of it
You mean Rh negative. This means your Blood doesn't contain the Rh protein. It has nothing, absolutely nothing to do with your Blood type.*

I have A- blood and with your first baby you get the shot caled Rhogam after you have the baby and in my state IN you get it with every baby after at 28weeks :-) hope this helps and no worries momma
Me and my fiance have the same blood type (O+) so most likely the baby should also have are blood type right?
My mom has o- and had to get some sort of shot everytime she was pregnant! That's all the info I have on it. But I suggest calling your doctor asap to get in and get the shot! :)
My baby doc told me since my blood type is A- that I might have to get a shot everyime I get pregnant. She said only if the baby I'm carrying now has a diff blood type then our blood will mix when I give birth and when I try to get pregnant again that my body will fight it off like a virus and I'll misscarry everytime, so I would have to get a shot
