mirena coil fell out, no period for 6wks, neg preg test

I hope you can help! My mirena coil fell out on the 2nd April 2010 (after 4mnths of having it in). I bled for 7 days after it fell out, then no periods. It is now the 4th May 2010. I have had slight cramping about a week ago (i thought it was the start of a period, but no) i have done 3 pg tests all neg. What is happening to my body! I have checked my cervix, it was very soft, low and open about 6 days ago. Now it has moved up and is closed. I have been told this is a sign of period starting, but its been like this for nearly 5 days.
Hope you can help
Thanks!

When you ovulate your cervix is low and open.  Maybe you were ovulating at that time.  Normally I get cramping when I ovulate as well.  Since you had the coil your periods may be irregular for a little due to the hormones decreasing in your body.  Just try to relax and see if your period come within the next week or two.  If not then take another test and if that is negative call your MD.  I think it's ok it's just your body adjusting to not having the constant hormones anymore.  Good luck.

It could also be a sign of ovulation... Maybe you took a test too early or more likely, the hormones from the Mirena could definitely be making it a little harder for you to get back on track with your ovulation. Have you called your doctor to let them know what happened with the coil? You should definitely call and tell them if you haven't and let them know what is going on. I hope you feel better soon =)
