NEED ADVICE!!!!

my daughter who is 13 months, fell off our bed (we sleep in the basement with my inlaws) and she fell head first to the cement. i was so terrified and my husband was very angry at me. my daughter was crying so much and then a huge bruise started to appear on her forehead and a few scars on her forehead as well. she fell straight asleep. i don't know what to do, i've been researching online about this kind of accidents, and i'm all freaked out. i feel horrible and just can't seem to humble myself. she's (my daughter) has had a couple falls before but never on cement. after i picked her up from the ground, she was coughing and crying and vomited all over my shoulders. her face was all blue and i freaked out, i tried calming her down while my husband was yelling at me at the same time and she knocked out. so far, i've been putting an ice pack on her bruise and neosprion on her scars, but i just read that another mom saying that not to let them fall asleep after the injury..(because of our finances) we are staying with my inlaws for the summer. we get along here and there (mostly because of religion differences) and i just dont want to deal with them about knowing what happened to our daughter. i'm also having difficulties with my clinic, and everything is still pending...what should i do as a new mom?

If she does sleep with you, to avoid this from happening you should get the gaurds that are made by safety first they will prevent her from falling... How scary! Sounds like she is doing well though!

maybe let her sleep in her playpen or a crib from now on...especially since you are over cement.

don't feel guilty gal coz ur hubby was also there why would he yell at you he is not suppose to yell at you coz he was there also he suppose to understand that accidents happens.
if she responds then all is well, she is okey as long as she is not vomiting any more and she plays.

she seems to be responding, i'm purposely walking in different directions and calling her name and she's responding..i'm point to my husband and saying "dada" (cause she always says it after me and points at him too) and she did that.. she's a very active, adventerous girl and it seems like shes always moving around like how she usually is...i just hope everything goes well!!

yeah, i wake her up every like 20-30 mins, and she responds, but other than that, she only vomitted once which was right after i picked her up (maybe it was from the fall of falling heah first?) i'm just so out of it, i cannot sleep and i feel so guilty and horrible. i just woke her up to chage her diaper and i set her down to see if she could walk, at first was a little wobbly and her eyes are just puffy from crying, but she smiled and laughed. and i did all the things with her like peek a boo, and high five and kiss and she did all that to me too, so i hope shes okay and i pray that she doesn't have any sort of brain damage...i dont know..i still feel so guilty...did i metion that she kind of passed out for like a second? i dont know what more can happen..

but thank you for your response..it really helped me.

you must take her to the clinic coz she vomited and that's not a good sign........if she does go to slip try to wake her up every 30 minutes and see if she is still okey, check her eyes if they respond to the light( put the light infront of her eyes and they should get small and when remove they should get back to normal) if they respond that's a good sign but you should take her to the clinic.

hope there wont be any complications with her.
