OT: For those of you have tried weight watchers, I have a question.

I am going on 7 weeks post partum and I still have about 20lbs to lose.  Does anyone know how many points a breastfeeding mother can have.  I am 5"11 and I weigh 169 and I want to get back down around 150.  I have got to get this weight off.  I really can't limit my intake while exclusively breastfeeding and hard core excercise will make my milk taste bad so I feel like I don't have many options.  I thought about doing weight watchers.  Any info would be appreciated.

Yep, I agree with the other ladies!  I always read to give 10 extra points on top of your daily recommended...but if that seems like too much or too little then you'll need to adjust from there.  I have done weight watchers off and on for 10 years and it is the only thing that works for me!  (I think I'm allergic to exercising!)  LOL!  Good luck!

For nursing moms it is recommended that you use your daily points plus 8-10 extra. Those 8-10 should be milk, veggies and fruits to make the best out of those points as possible.

If your milk supply should lower, or the baby is starting to lose weight eat more. I have been a lifetime member for 5 years now, and my best friend is a leader going on 8 years now. . . YIKES time flies! I love WW, I lost 70lbs with it, and I have only gained 15 and I'm half way done with my pregnancy! Woo-hoo!

I have been to weight watchers on and off my entire life...I am always very succesful when I go and follow the program lol  I 100% recommend it and plan on doing it as soon as I deliver.  They do allow more points/more food for breastfeeding moms.  The first time I went on I lost about 40 pounds (156 to 112)  BUT 112 was way too skinny for me...you could see all my ribs etc.  I purposefully gained about 10 pounds BUT got carried away over the years and eventually put myself back on when I hit 140...I went down to 125 which I always think is perfect for me...I yo-yo back and forth but my body likes to hover around 130...if I want to lose more, even with weight watchers I have to vigorously exercise for at least an hour or more each and every day...which I don't really like!  So I usually hang around in the 130's because it is very manageable for me.  Good luck!  I think you will really like it and be successful!

Remember...it took 9 months to put it on, it hsould take at least that long to take it off. You're only 7 weeks out. Enjoy the moment

For that weight and breast feeding, they usually allow 26-28 points, depending on how much activity you have daily.  I hope this helps.
