I seem to have them in my lower abdomen more than anything else. I have had a few in my lower back but nothing too bad. I would suggest if you have any type of contractions to consult your doctor, espically if they are painful at any time. I went into the doctors thinking I was having just Braxton Hicks and ended up besent to Labor and Delivery because I was actually having pretty bad contractions. They are under control now but when I forget to take my meds they are pretty bad. Good Luck

It depends on a few things, according to my own experience, and I'm sure everyone is different. Depending on what you're doing, sometimes you don't notice them at all.. sometimes it just feels a little heavier in your belly, but whenever they DO happen, you can press around on your belly and it just feels like a rock. But for me, whenever I layed back from a sitting to laying position, I would get one and it would be a little uncomfortably tight.. But the further along I am getting the more uncomfortable they are.. I'm 35 weeks..Sometimes when I'm laying on my side, I get a BH contraction and it feels like the weight of my uterus and baby just gained like 5 lbs and sometimes feels like someone has their hands on either side squishing my belly together.... It's odd.. But not really "painful".. it's really just a discomfort more than anything. It really shouldn't be "pain" although I'm sure it probably gets a little painful with it being cramped on space, when you get real far along.

So it's true that BH's may hurt?

Most ppl try to tell me they don't... but I'm fairly positive I've had several of them, and drinking lots of water seems to help. I've had them each day or so for the last week. which is WIERD.

Do you all suffer from them starting at a certain point in your pregnancies or have them continue from that point?

BTW.. to me they feel like a period pain, except you can feel it start to finish on the squeezing part. It goes from my hips to my front. (so I KNOW i'll have front labor)..

Water does help, and sometimes something to eat does also!
