Anyone have experience with Progesterone Injections?

I went into preterm labor with my last baby and delivered at 35 weeks. While he was perfectly fine that is not always the case. My OB started me last week (16 weeks gestation) on 17P injections. I was just wondering if anyone else has used it and had a good outcome? I have seen lots of succesfully studies, etc. Just looking for personal experiences I guess. My OB is now placing all of his patients who have delivered before 37 weeks on this therapy and said it's had very promising results.

Thanks hun! I think I remember reading that your midwife had suggested them to you earlier as well. We'll see how this goes. This is my last baby and I'm getting my tubes tied. I was just really scared that if this baby followed the pattern of my others and came 2 weeks earlier than the last I'd have a 33 weeker in the NICU and that really scared me. Good luck with your pregnancy hun! I have a friend that is 26 weeks and she's 2cm dilated, has regular contractions and her OB refuses to do anything for her. She's been dilated for a few weeks now and her OB says it's normal. Mine would have done a cerclage. She's very worried all the time.

I haven't, but hoping I can try it next pregnancy (whenever that may be) I had my second son at 36w and now I'm 31w and already 3cm and just hoping to get to 36w again. I just wanted to say I have heard many success stories from the injections and I hope they work and help you get to full term this pregnancy.
