OT Venting!!!!

I've been with Sarah since she has been born,  I havent left her for more than 10 minutes to run to the corner store. My DF told me i needed a night out for myself because i've been cooped up for almost 2 months.  So i finally caved and i am going out tonite with the girls  - Unfortuantly

So i called a girlfriend to see if she wanted to go to dinner.  I figured i'd be gone for an hour or two the max.    Well the whole thing freaking snowballed,  now there are 8 people going.  I dont even know half of them and we are going freaking BOWLING!!  on a stupid Saturday night  where there are going to be a TON of kids running around.  They have this thing called Atomic Bowling, where they have strobe lights and loud music blasting all over the place.

I DONT WANT TO GO.  AND IT HAS NOTHING DO DO WITH LEAVING SARAH.

I told my friend that i didnt want to go because it was going to be to loud and i didnt want to spend the evening listening to a bunch of other peoples kids running around.  I just wanted to go out and have a quiet dinner and adult conversation.  I was told i was out-voted and that was just too bad.

I've already tried getting out of it but she isnt taking NO for an answer.. she already called DF and told him she is going to drag me out of the house if she has to.
So now i get to spend a miserable evening with a bunch of people i dont know, freaking bowling.  (not that i have anything against bowling but it's just not somthing i enjoy)

Ugh, let your friend know that NEXT TIME you want to spend quality time with her and that you want it to be peaceful and quiet. Sorry you had a stinky night! My advice is to get someone trustworthy to watch little Sarah while you go see a movie with DF!

Well,   The night basicly stunk... but i tried to make the best of it. Bowling was loud and crowded, not to mention i cant bowl for ****!
The part of the night where the music wasnt blareing and you could actually hold a conversation all they talked about was what deductions they could take on their taxes (3 of the ladies i was out with work for the IRS)  
I love my friend Judy, she is a wonderful person.................................I just dont have anything in common with her other friends

Laura,  you can appreciate this because you are from N.E., My friend Judy asked me a question about Matt Cassell and one of the ladies asked who he was and when i told her she said  OH,,What happend to the Tom guy!

I was home by 10:00,  DF laughed when i told him about the night and he did make a good point.  I'll never forget my first night out after the birth of our daughter.

Thats doesnt sound relaxing AT ALL.. I am soo not into the bowling scene either... Do you hae anyone close by that could babysit so you and df could go out? OR if you are looking or a break from him as well, another friend maybe? You know, exactly what alaysha said!! I just realized I totally repeated her post... Ugh.. My pregnancy brain.. (or lack there of,,)

I am sorry sweetie. What a bummer.. Your first night out since Sarah's arrival, and you get out voted!!?? I hoe you can find another solution! Whats df say?

They can't force you to do something that you don't want to do so don't go. Call another girlfriend and see if she wants to do something with you or even get a baby sitter and maybe you and DH can go out to dinner or a movie or something.
