Diarrhea TMI SORRY.

is this a sign labour could be close  by? im  30 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child now. ova the past few wks iv been having  bad  braxton hicks contractions and  diarrhea. iv  also  been on  meds for a urine infection (e-coli) and  on  iron supplements. yesterday i saw my midwife  and   she sed the baby is head dwn but still free,and  that the heart beat was gd. she also  changed  my  iron  supplement tables to  another form of iron  in liquid form which i started taking yesterday too. well up - until yesterday eveniing i  felt fine  and then out the blue i  felt really sick  and was sick  quite a bit and i  got  a little stomach pain  and then  straight afta that i had really  really bad  watery diarrhea, there was loads of it. tmi sorry. straight after that  i   went and had a bath to  relax and i felt  ok  for  most of the nite, iv had diarrhea once today but thats all. and i feel ok. could it b that  my body is sorting itslef out  ready for labour or  could it jst  b the  new form of iron liquid im taking? any  advise would b great thanks.

Diarrhea can be a sign of impeding labor but it is also caused by SO many other things - iron supplements and antibiotics. Watery diarrhea can also be caused by a gastro bug.

I agree with worriedbabe though, if you concerned call your doctor.  And certainly keep a very close eye on things - absolutely  call if this doesnt clear up soon.  Be careful you dont get dehydrated.

it could simply be your hormones...i've been as you describe earlier in this pregnancy and i'm still waiting. however, if you personally are concerned then don't hesitate to contact your dr/ob/midwife for advice.
