My OBGYN said that vicodin and oxicodon can be addictive to the baby that is why they don;t usually have pregnant women, but since it is so early in pregnancy there should be much chance of addiction since she is not taking them any more and limited use is not supposed to be addictive for baby. if she contiued to take them the baby might go through withdrawl, but should'nt hurt it especially if she quit now.
Well on October 14th she had some blood work done and it said she was 2.5 days to 1 week preggers. Two days before that she took 2 EPT test and it came up positive with a faint line but then on the 16th she took another EPT test and the line was bright and sooooo positive. Anyhow the blood work said she was in the 25 percentile or something like that. What worries me is that she was on that medication for a couple weeks and though she's not taking it anymore I want to make sure it still isn't in her system. I want a healthy baby!!! I'm healthy, I get a light cold maybe once a year and that's about all my immune system lets in.
At 2 weeks "pregnant" you'd be ovulating. Doctors base pregnancy on a woman's last period. Because of this there's about 2-3 weeks before ovulation/conception that she technically is not pregnant.
Your girlfriend is most likely 3-5 weeks pregnant, not one week.
And I wouldn't worry about the pain meds. If she stopped then all should be well.
When I was 12 weeks pregnant with my son, I was hospitalized with a mass, and they pumped all kinds of pain meds and antibiotics through me. My son is now a healthy energetic 3yo. Hope that helps.
i was like 2 weeks pregnant when i took Vicodin. and didnt know i was... well i told my OB/GYN and he said id be ok..im now 9 weeks and everything is fine. besides at that earily of a time i dont think it would affect the baby yet....
