When your pregnant people tell you all sorts of myths and stuff, my latest being that Im suffering from heartburn at the moment and people telling me that this means my baby will have lots of hair when he or she is born! lol anyone else been told any weird and wonderful stuff???

A secretary at work told me that I really needed to dangle a string over my belly so I could know whether it was a boy or girl, then seemed disappointed when I admitted I didn't try it. Said it foretold each one of her children.

Actually stanford university did a study a few years ago on the whole heartburn to hair on baby thing and they found that women suffering with severe heartburn actually do have a higher chance of giving birth to a child with a lot of hair! .they just don't know why lol.

All those myths are just that, myths!!! Lol..;-) I've been told crazy stuff!! It's hilarious!! This is #4 and most "myths" have been way off track!! Ha** some fit but its just coincedence!! Girls you carry high, boys low, well first three were girls, my first should've been boy bc she was low!! Now this is a boy and I'm really high!! My 2nd and 3rd daughter were very high too!! I get terrible heartburn bc I carry high and only my 2nd daughter had any hair!! We will see with this guy in July!! ;-) I was also told with my 1st it was a boy by how my butt looked!! Ha* what a confidence boost that was!! I just smile n nod when all the comments come rolling in!!! ;-)

Haha. Yup. I suffered the same heartburn too. And my baby was born full of hair. But so were both of them and the heartburn wasn't as bad the second time. I think it has more to do with how high u carry. With my son my pee was almost neon. And I was told that meant I was gonna have a boy. And I did. So I don't know if its a coincidence or if there are some truths to it.

I was good that with my first daughter and she did come out with a head full of hair so I'm hoping its the same with this pregnancy cause I have heartburn all the time

The whole carrying all front means girl. If you crave salty your having a boy. All sorts. My mom even says she can guess the weight being 7lb 12
