Yes! Even though I've never had one break on me, it's always a great idea to have extra bottles on hand. Oh yeah, glass bottles come with a little breastmilk top to store pumped breastmilk. And you just switch the top for a nipple when ready to feed.

My first born used the nuk bottles from when he was about 3 months old til he switched to sippy and he loved them! The plastic just gets old looking and not the prettiest after a while but besides that they were great!
Considering trying them with our second and if he doesn't like them we will give glass a try!
The shatter part is the deal breaker for me because I have a toddler running around and the last thing I need is him dropping one and getting glass in his feet or something!
If you do use glads bottles, always have a spare when out & about. My cousin had a glass bottle & dropped it at the store & it shattered. She forgot another one leaving her fussy baby without a bottle while she drove home.
It won't hurt to just buy a pack and try them out. A three pack 8oz is 5.99. I will admit you are going to need plastic bottles anyway for traveling. I usually send plastic bottles to daycare, grandparents, parties... Etc
Thanks! Still very unsure but that was helpful! I still have 3 months to think about it though
I'll be using Dr. Brown's glass bottles. You can find em at Babies R Us!
Cons are, if you leave a warming bottle under hot water a second too long that milk will be HOT. But you can always run cold water to cool it off. You have to wrap glass bottles in a towel or blanket before putting in diaper bag of you have more than one together because they will clank together every time the bag moves. They are super heavy for a baby learning to hold their own bottle but they will Get the hang of it. I traded plastic and glass when my son was learning to hold his bottle. But that's about it.
The pros of glass bottles is warming them are faster, they seal air out unlike most plastic bottles. They are cleaner and safer germ wise, because you know germs love plastic. And cleaning them are a breeze. Of you happen to lose the bottle and find it days later the cleaning process is easy, and it doesn't hold smell like plastic. When if you lose a plastic bottle and find it a week later, it needs to be thrown away because more than likely that spoiled milk smell will linger.
Burlington has glass bottles. I buy even flo glass bottles. They are great. And really I think the brand doesn't really matter with glass bottles. They aren't made with anything that could be transferred to baby's milk when warmed up.

You can order them anywhere online and they have them at walmart
Where do you buy glass bottles? I would love to try them, but haven't seen them in stores around here.
