braxton hicks/feeling weird

I'm 31 weeks today & last night I woke up to my stomach cramping, hard, it hurt to breathe, then a few minutes later it happened again then nothing. Then I went boot shopping with my hubby & when we were checking out, my stomach felt tight & really hard, and I got really hot & my head felt like it was 100 degrees, then it went away and I've been fine since. My doctor told me I would start feeling Braxton hicks contractions soon & was wondering if that is what I have? Also, when I eat, which feels like all the time, lol, I feel almost sick. It comes & goes. I've never had heart burn so I don't know what that is like. This is my first pregnancy and I'm still learning stuff, any help would be great! And on a side note, when I was in the shower, my baby boy decided to kick my belly ring and tear it. :( my hubby thinks that just so funny. Lol. Sorry for the long post! :)

thats fine im also 31 weeks today but this is my 3rd baby and this preg i have experienced stuff i never did with the 1st 2 :)
i took mine out early kos i am quite big, 3 times in 18 hours is pretty normal i wake up in the middle of the night in pain most nights sitting there waiting for them to get stronger but they stop so i just go back to sleep lol.. unless they are contanst and a unbearable pain i wouldnt be at all concerned..

My hubby has been telling me to take it out for weeks, but my doctor said I could keep it in till/if it pulls or stretches, but I just took it out. i plan on putting it in a few times a week for a second to make sure it stays open. And I've only felt them three times in about 18 hours. Thanks for the response!

i would of suggested to take belly ring out few weeks ago i took mine out at about 20w this is my 3rd baby,
i just put it thru every few days to keep it open.
but yes it does sound like braxton hicks.. also maybe your blood pressure may have dropped i have low blood pressure and i suffer from hot flushes and dizziness etc...
braxton hicks shouldnt be constant they should come and then go away. if you feel like your having contractions every few mins then i would suggest a hospital :)
