Ovulation

Is it better to have sex once a day or twice during ovulation? Which is medically recommended for trying to get pregnant?

AlanAlan, I don't think you have to have more than once a day during ovulation unless you guys just WANT and desire to do so! There are billions of spermies in one ejaculation and it only takes one to fertilize the egg! But it also shouldn't hurt any to have sex more than once.

I have been told 2 different things by 2 different docors...

OB said: everyother day
Fertility Specialist said: EVERY DAY (both my husband and I are 26 yrs. old and he said that when you are younger the every other day theory isn't necessary)

So, I am going with my fertility specialist.  Honestly, I don't really think that there is one sure fire way that is better than the other.  It really just depends on what your egg and his sperm are wanting to do ;)

I've also been told to start having sex 10 days after you start your period and have sex every other day through the 15th day (if your cycle is normal, every 28 days).

I've read and been told by my fertility doctors that it's best to have sex every other day, that way there's time for your partner's sperm level to rejuvenate.
