No doctor can say 100% that your baby will be boy or girl or they could get in legal trouble (say, if you sue because they told you one thing and it turned out to be another...). My brother was told they were having a girl and ended up having a boy.
Get a 3D ultrasound if you can afford it (you'll have to search for sonographers in your area to get prices). That way, you'll see the genitals in 3D and be able to know for sure if it is important to you to know before birth.
yes I did....Adn He said he did to its been the same doc...like i said he was confident enought to tell me at 18 and 22 weeks it was a girl!!!
A lot of times, when trying to determine whether you are having a girl or boy, the technicians (or whoever is doing the US), looks for the presence or absence of a penis. This can lead to errors unfortunately, of mistaking a boy for a girl if the penis is tucked away out of sight.
Like alaysha said, they're supposed to look for 3 lines, not just the absence of a penis. Do you know if they did that?
The labia often becomes swollen with baby girls. I would say if it seemed like a girl before its possible that it is just swollen right now. When you got your last ultrasound did you see the three lines?
as long as the baby is healthy dont stress scan are not 100% my uncle and his girlfriend were told they were having a girl they now have a wonderful boy
