PLEASE HELP !
Yesterday I went to the hospital because I've been having really bad constipation and I was hoping they'd give me something safe for the baby and I wouldn't have to wait weeks to get into the dr. Well they took blood and when the hospital doctor came back in he said my hcg levels were below 5 and that I lost the baby </3 but then in a sobbing mess I came home and took TWO pregnancy tests which both came back POSITIVE . Please help me . Im so lost and confused . I thought blood tests were more sensitive than home tests ? What's happening to me ? I just want my baby . .
You may have had a miscarriage, you will still test positive with a HPT. Trust what the Dr says and begin the mourning process so you can build up your strength Sweetie♥
They didn't do an ultrasound but the dr said if I don't pass it soon then I need to go back in. I haven't had my period since December and I dont have any cramping .
Did They Say Ur Baby Was Dead Or That U HaD already Passed It? When I Had A Missed Miscarriage Baby Had No HeartBeat But I Still Had Morning Sickness And Tested Positive On Hpt Hoping The Dr Made A Mistake But Then 2.5 Wks Later The Fetal Tissue Passed. GOod Luck!!!
The home tests will come back as positive until your body comes back from the misscarage the same thing happened to me last year but the doctors told me that after a misscarage normally the next pregnancy has a better chance of going the full pregnancy. I'm sorry for your loss on know how hard it is I cried for a week after my misscarage and I blamed myself
Actually the dr. Said there wasn't any hcg hormones at all . Thats what else is confusing because first, even if I miscarried , I would still get a positive blood test and second, I would have cramps and bleeding and I don't have any of that . .
The blood test still showed levels of hcg and so your urine will too. Its lower than it should be indicating you lost the baby but they're not out of your system yet because it hasn't been long enough so a urine test would still say positive...sorry hun but the dr at the hospital is probably right
Thank you guys . I plan on calling today but it just doesn't make sense. The doctor said the blood test can detect anything over 5 and a home test cant detect anything unless its over 25 . So if the blood test was negative and detected no hormones then why is my home test detecting hormones ? It wouldn't make sense . . Im just so scared .
Yeah call ur OB, I'll keep u in my prayer, hope the Hospital results are wrong.
