Painful/Sensitive belly

For the past two or three days my stomach has been extremely sensitive, it hurts to touch, and even clothes have been bothering it, is this normal? I'm 27W1D.

It is likely your reaction to the stretching.  Our brains all perceive it their own way, some as painful, some as itchy, some as completely unbearable on every level, while others still hardly notice.  It does sound normal, I have moments where mine is like that too--i'm about 27 weeks also.

Excess pressure can often agitate the little nerve endings in our skin, I have this a lot. This will often lead to a sensation of being "overly sensitive" to any kind of touch or stimulation, where any sensation is perceived as irritating and painful.  This is understandable for you right now because of the pressure your growing uterus is applying to your stretched skin.

Use lots and lots of lotion, and try a cooler shower (this helps to desensitize long enough to stand putting on all that lotion!).  The lotion can give you an extra touch of elasticity so that the nerve endings can find some relief.  Also stay really really well-hydrated.  The diffuse water in your body and skin will also act as a buffer to the nerve endings, giving you some relief from their over-sensitivity.

I hope that helps.  Let us know how it goes and if you find any relief :-)
