She also told me from feeling my stomach. But just wanted to make sure that it didn't mean that she wasn't developing right.
She told me from touching my stomach that baby was measuring a week bigger but she was actually measuring a day behind... I'm 38 weeks 5 days and baby is measuring 7 pounds 2 ounces so I'd say you're right on track.. Some babies are just smaller.. plus they can be wrong wrong about the weight by a pound or two
The average for a baby is 7.5 if your 37 weeks and 6.5 it sounds like your baby will be very close to the average and right on track. There shouldn't be any reason to worry about development a baby isn't considered underweight and underdeveloped unless under 5.5 at birth.
Did she measure you or said it from an ultrasound?
Cause the way your stomach measures doesn't have to do with how much your baby weighs. And she can't determine the babies weight from feeling your tummy so I'm sure you're fine. I'm 37 weeks too and I'm dying to know how much he weighs now but I guess I can't have any more ultrasounds :/ so he guessed that when I have my baby he will be around 7.4 7.5 lbs so we shall see
I'll be 37 weeks tomorrow my last appointment which was Tuesday my baby weighed exactly 6lbs and my doctor is very pleased stated that he is right on track..
So the weight has nothing to do with the baby's development? I just want her to be fully developed.
Ithink its normal. My daughter was born @40wks & weighed 6lbs w.12oz & my son was born @36wks weighing @5lbs w.14oz. Im pregnant 32 wks & bbygrl weighs 2lbs.
Thanks. Just making sure.
My doctor said my baby was measuring 33 weeks when i was 35 weeks and 1day that the baby was 5 pounds but that it was nothing for me to worry about.
