Period like cramps - No period - Possible BFP

I'm a few days late for my af, but it hasn't come yet.  I know I could take a hpt, but I'm purposely holding off cause I don't want to see another BFN.  For anyone who is pregnant or been pregnant, did you feel cramps like you were going to get your period, and then end up pregnant?  I've been googling this online, and it seems like it's possible, but I would love to hear people's experiences on this website.

Thanks in advance.

I get sever lower back pain and cramping when AF comes and I got cramping thinking that I was going to start AF but three days later still nothing I tried waiting a week but couldn't and bought a test.  The cramping lasted for about the first 8 weeks on and off.

Good luck with the test

I did! I totally thought I was going to start...and then turns out I was pregnant! (still am) Not trying to make you feel one way or the other but my sister in law said the same thing! She was SURE AF was coming b/c of the cramps but she was pregnant! Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I decided I just can't wait, and I bought a few HPT's.  I'm going to test in a couple hours, and I'll let ya'll know.  It won't be my first morning urine, so if I get a bfn, I'll try to hold off hope that maybe it is false.

I made the mistake a couple months ago taking about 10 pregnancy tests, all that came back BFN.  It was so demoralizing. :-(  I know how you feel though!  It is SO hard to wait to test.  I figure in case there is some variance in my cycle, that I better just wait.  :-D

Definetely sounds like you could be pregnant! I don't know how you could wait to test! You're a lot stronger than I am! I went and got a blood test 6 days before AF was supposed to show! But keep us updated and good luck!

I've been just feeling "off" if that makes any sense.  Here are some weird symptoms that may or may not be related to anything.  I have more saliva than usual. (weird, and sorry about tmi).  My nipples are a little sore, and I "nip out" more than usual.  I've also had a headache.  Are any of these symptoms you have felt?

I actually did have period like cramps, mostly in the first couple of weeks. I'm 6 weeks now, and only feel them once inawhile. For some reason especially at night. So it could be, do you have any other symptoms?

Thanks so much for your comment. :-D  My plan is to wait until Sunday to test (and hope and pray that AF doesn't arrive in the meantime). But I will "pretend" I'm pregnant until I know for sure and eat well, and take my vitamins.  Oh, I really hope I am!  Everytime I go to the bathroom, I'm SO nervous!  Oh, the joys of being a woman TTC.

It's highly likely you will get cramps similar to AF when you are pregnant. I had cramps with both my pregnancies. My doc told me that the ovary that released the egg releases a hormone that keeps you pregnant.
This can sometimes feel like AF cramps. So are ya gonna test now? ;-)
Good luck x
