Think I am having a Miscarriage?!

Hi, Yesterday I found out I was pregnant, about 4 weeks. I had a BFP on a FRER test. I was SO excited to be a mommy! But sadly, this morning, I started bleeding and it has picked up and it somewhat heavy and is bright red. Also the FRER test was a BFN with fmu. I feel so crushed and hurt cause I just know I am miscarrying =( I was just wondering if this is most likely a miscarriage? I am going to the Dr. tomorrow. I was so sad earlier, crying and wondering why... Anybody have any experiences they wanna share... I would greatly appreciate it =)

I'm so sorry you're going through this. It does sound like a m/c, though you'll want to see a doctor and get some bloodwork done regardless asap. I had a m/c 2 weeks after finding out I was pregnant for the first time last fall. It started w/light bleeding that was reddish brown, then got heavier and brighter red, soon accompanied by clots and severe cramping that lasted about 24 hours. Then the flow was moderate for about 7 days. I knew in my heart what was happening, but it was so hard to face the reality of it. I've never been so sad in my life - seriously. I got my period 4.5 weeks later.... then we TTC again and are now 11 days away from the due date of our first baby, a son... and in my mind, a miracle!

It does sound like a m/c but miracles do happen. I am so sorry. My 1st son who was born in May 2003 had a heart defect. I carried him to term, but he passed away @ 4hrs old. I had another baby boy, Logan, in Oct. 2004. 8lbs 6oz. Healthy as can be. Had another baby boy, Tanner in Dec. 2006. Healthy. Found out I was preggo again in Oct. 2007 and had a missed miscarriage, meaning I had no symptoms whatsoever...no bleeding, no cramping, no pain @ all! Went in for an u/s when I was supposed to be 11 wks preggo and the baby had stopped growin @ 7 wks. So, I was scheduled for a D&C the next day. 3 mths later, March 2008, I found out I was preggo again. So far, I am 28 wks w/ a GIRL!!  Its totally devastating to lose a baby @ any age. I was a week late for my period and had been trying to conceive for 4 months.  I tested on my Bday, because I thought how cool to tell everyone I was pregnant.  Well it was negative.  So then a couple weeks went by, no period but I kept cramping like I was going to start.  5 days before Christmas 2007 I started spotting, but didn't think anything of it since my period was late.  Well on Christmas Day I was in horrible cramping and a lot of bleeding.  I ended up going to the ER the next day because I bled through tampons - which I never do.  They did a pregnancy test and it was positive, but the u/s showed nothing.  2 days later I passed the fetal tissue.  It was really hard on me, I would think about it every day.  It took 8 weeks for my period to come back and then about 4 months for me to get pregnant again (I had a lot of issues, not related to the m/c).  Anyways, the doctor can confirm everything by checking your hcg levels.  If they are decreasing than its definitly a m/c - when I was in the ER is was 364 and then 2 days later is was 150.  The hcg should double every 48-72 hours.  If you are m/c'ing, just make sure you talk about it but because it is hard keeping it to yourself.  I think it took me getting pregnant again for me to finally move on, though everyone is different.  Best of luck to you and i hope you get some answers tomorrow.

I'm sorry for your loss!!. It sounds like you had a chemical pregnancy. Same thing happened to me on July 5th.  I found out I was pregnant (blood test and hpt)on a Thursday and that Saturday I started bleeding.  Before I started bleeding, though I took a hpt(I'm a poas addict) it came out negative and I was wondering why. Then the bleeding started.  But don't worry, God may have something greater for you.  I feel your pain trust me it does hurt, but look at my story, the first period after the m/c I found out I was pregnant again.  And my pregnancy is going great so far and I have only one person to thank and that is God.  Just wait on him and He'll provide. Trust me!!!!
