Please help...Early Miscarriage of identical twin/s

Can anyone shed any light on my dilemma pls?
I am/ was just 6/7  weeks pregnant. Had early bleeding last week as I did when I was pregnant with my healthy daughter (so seemed normal this time round). Scan showed that fetus was ok but no heartbeat yet so to return in 2 weeks. Days later I have heavy bleeding, cramping & lots of large blood clots. Gyno said I was having a miscarriage & by saturday morning we were convinced that all had gone.
However, scan showed that I still had identical twins in my uterus, 1 of which had died (no sac), the other seemed fine but no heart beat but as it's so early & baby only measures 5.5mm we don't know if it's too early to tell if pregnancy of the 2nd twin is still viable... The scan only 4 days before didn't pick up twins yet you can slearly see them on this scan. One with sac, one without! I've been advised to expect the worst but can't help but want to know more... Anyone been through or know anyone who's had a similar experience? ...& if so what happened? Thanks in advance xx

I'm going through the same thing. At 5 wks I started bleeding. Hospital took my bloods n booked for a scan 2 days later. Scan showed a couple tiny areas which could b sacs or just fluid filled areas, bloods were taken n compared. They went up 50%, bloods taken only 2 days later showed 10% rise so was told I was miscarriage or ectopic. I stopped bleeding after 5 days. Went for scan wks later to check and we saw a growing sac and embryo! I was booked in for a wk later again, and 2 days before I lost big clumps of stuff. Prepared for the worst, scan showed baby was still there and I lost a twin and other fluid areas. But baby hasn't grown much. I'm still heavy bleeding and odd cramps. Scan tomorrow to show if baby growing or stopped. Bleeding non stop and still losing odd clots, thinking is this still other stuff or this baby?! Will find out tomorrow x

Just keep praying, i no its not easy, i had a missed m/c in june and decided to have d&c on the 17th. I have a 13yr old, but no children by my fiance and he has no children. We are currently ttc again and its still tough not to think about the m/c. If you need to vent or just ask questions post away, trying to respond to questions makes me feel better and has helped me deal with my m/c.

Thank you, kind of you to reply, it's just nice to talk about it.
Apparently the size is right & about the right time to develop a heart beat so you're right, I just have to wait & see what God has planned for me I guess. I'm blessed to have a beautiful little girl already which helps.... still hard though.
Let you know. Thanks again xx

I just want to say im sorry for your loss and that you have to go threw this.

There are two things that could happen, you could carry baby to term, heartbeat may pick up later, or you could m/c that baby also. Did your dr do any blood test to determine if your hcg levels are falling or rising. You said the baby measures 5.5 does that equal out to how many weeks your suppose to be, if not, could be an idication that the baby stoped growing. I would just try not to stress over it and let nature take its course in a week or two, meaning your body will either m/c or the fetus will continue to grow, but if the fetus is not growing or has stopped growing thats not a promising sign. Your just going to have to wait it out. But have your hcg levels drawn.  I will keep you in my prayers.
