Hope you get your induction today!!!!!!! Lots of induction dust
Wow, hun I really hope you start to feel better. I bet you're right, that your body is trying to go into labor but its too stressed out (being sick or stressed can stall labor).
Hopefully your doc understands and agrees to induce you tonight/tomorrow instead of making you wait to get over the cold. Good Luck!!!
They might be a little reluctant to induce you when you are this sick. If they HAVE to, due to some problem with the baby, or your blood pressure, or some other indicatiion, well, they'd be forced to.
But there are some dangers and risks to you, being induced while very ill with a URI. Your doctor might consider them slight enough as to consent to go along with your wish to be induced, or might want to wait if possible.
Good luck. Its always miserable to have a URI near the end of pregnancy, as if the end of pregnancy wasn't miserable enough!
poor thing i hope lil lil princess comes out soon i am sending a lot of induction dust your way just stick you feet to the ground and say im not leaving till you tell me im getting induced it worked for me with my 3rd child good luck ill be checking for updates
could the time drag by ANY slower....come on 130
Just do what you need to do to get that baby out safely - that's my motto :) I hope you can get that induction - talk about perrfect, that your own OB will be on call!!
LOL, yeah,...that duggar woman is just nuts.
i had seriously thought abuot trying to go pain med free this time since DD14 is old enough to watch the other kids and we don't HAVE to have them at the hospital but with the way I feel, unless my labor progresses at lightning speed they better dope me up man. Then again I don't know, maybe the pain would give me something else to focus on besidse being miserabl elol
Sorry to change the subject. But is the Michelle Dugar off the programme 18 kids and counting???????
shes prob used to it....
Put your over night bag in the car :)

Hey Girl,
You might want to go get some Acidophilus to take Pronto! The antibiotics you are on can cause thrush, so you need a probiotic to balance things out. You might also get a yeast infection so watch out for that! You don't need anymore whammies.
LOL. I don't know about walking out, Michelle Duggar the mom of 19 kids, was asked about L&D and she said "there's a reason it's called labor". That woman is...I don't even know what to call it...all of hers minus the c/s (I think only two births were c/s) were all natural...no pain meds. Now THAT is crazy!!!
I'm hoping to the next big update from you is that you're home to grab what you need and on your way to a sleepover full of antibiotics and fluids, and waking up refreshed and ready for pitocin tomorrow!!!
Haha, I say that to my step mum all the time LOL.... She had like SOOOO many, and we are all really short and her last name is White... she is called Snow white and the seven dwarfs.
Hahah
Anyways..
It should be any day now, I swear cause like your body is obv wanting to go into labour, but because you're ill it's trying to recover at the same time
xx
fortunately, if this labor proves to be anything like my other labors (both induced and not) the pushing part is the shortest part of all. I've never had to push more than 25 minutes for any of my kids. That's a blessing! Besides, after all these kids she could probably just about walk out LOL
Well I hope you at least get some rest before you have to do any work with it...I'm sure it would do you a world of good to stay overnight and then tomorrow be induced so you have a break before you have to actually participate in the labor, the pushing stages I mean.
Yeah that might be where you got it from.
I hope you get your wish, And don't worry about complaining,,,, we should have a right too.. It should be the law....
Everything is gonna be okayy :)#
xx
Today would be a great day...Doc told me that he's on call this evening so why not???
I know my body is TRYING to do SOMETHING...for the last several days I've had a few really good contractions. Yesterday I had a couple that radiated up my spine and took my breath, but then they stopped. I've had A LOT more pressure and pain "down there" . I just think I'm too physically exhausted to keep it up without assistance.
I hope your wish comes true!!! That would be great to see that update, at least then I'd know you were being taken care of and hopefully feeling better!
Thanks ladies! I feel like such a whiner but with all that's been going on this summer and now with how I feel, well, darn it, I'm just gonna complain LOL.
I think I had the thrush a few weeks ago but just didn't realize it thinking it was a "baby" thing. But apparently when my Mom was in the hospital SHE had it and it came back a few times, so that may be where I picked it up from.
Honestly, I'm getting the feeling that my body has been trying to go into labor but with all the stress, the illness, the physical stuff I've gone through the last 4-6 weeks it's just worn out. Something is gonna have to give in order for my body to be able to handle anything else naturally. Since I can't just force this stupid cold to go away the only thing I can do is force this baby out and hopefully once she's born my body can concentrate more on fighting off this junk.
3 more hours before I can go see my doc. Unfortunately I couldn't get in this morning becuase he does hospital stuff on thursday mornings. I told DH that I wish he would put me in the hospital tonight, start my IV and give me fluids and IV antibiotics over night then start an induction in the morning
WOAH.
I hope he induces you... if he doesnt I made a passport outta paper and I'll fly over and beat him up! You can carry on like this. Its not fair.
Men moan about man flu like they're gonna die... and we gotta sympathise for them.... so why cant they sympathise for us... well right now you and give you what you want!!
INDUCTION DUST!
xx
I've been keeping up with all your latest posts, and I've just gotta chime in on this one--holy cr@p! How much more could your luck go downhill?! I'm so sorry you've been sick and now you're getting thrush. I had thrush one time after having finished antibiotics, and it was nasty! My tongue was sore and it felt like I had a mouth full of wet chalk. I got an anti-fungal mouthwash prescribed, which actually tasted pretty good, so that part wasn't so bad.
I hope you can get your induction today. I know I was ready to be induced at 37 weeks and was begging my doctor, but she made me wait until 38 weeks for it. I'd been in preterm labor for 5½ weeks, though, so I was absolutely miserable because I'd been in mild labor for so long--so I can relate to that miserable feeling and wanting the baby out so badly, but wow...I just can't imagine being sick on top of feeling miserable at the end of pregnancy! I hope you feel better soon and can have your baby today!
Oh goodness girl....I hope you get induced. I had thrush at the end of my pregnancy tooo...I was like wTF? apparently only babies, preggos, and people with AIDs get it...and it's irritating. it threw off my taste for 2wks.
But anyway I can't wait to hear your update I want to meet my little Northerly Niece! Here's hoping you get induced!
i really hope you dont have thrush on top of everything! il keep my fingers crossed for you that he agrees to do an induction! thinking of you hunni :)
gosh lady....i wont even say can it get any worse because in your case im sure it can
i really hope your doc is understanding and will schedule you for an induction today...i hope you are feeling better by the time you are induced
let us know how your appt goes...good luck :)
and feel better
I hope he's willing to do an induction, and I hope with how worn out you are you can still do the VBAC and don't end up with another c/s. Sorry you're feeling so cr@ppy! *HUGS* It's almost over! Hopefully once she comes out they'll give you something to help you get better and in a day or two you'll be back to normal!
