Hello!!!
I just read all your story and I cried through it!!! The last posts to this were in July. How are you doing? Do you have baby already or are you still pregnant?
I know how you feel about geting all the needles and cords off of you. It feels good doesn't it? I am so glad that yall are doing good. I hope that she will stay in there for your and her sake. I want my Olivia to stay in a few more weeks too, but my doctor took me off of the Terbutaline today b/c I was having really bad side effects. But I don't know what my body is going to do with no meds. I just hope that it will let her stay in till atleast 34 weeks. That is my goal! I will keep praying for you and London. Hang in there!
Glad to hear teh situation is improved! You ladies rest up!! =)
Keep us posted.
good googly moogly girls! I am gone for 1 weekend and you go trying to have a baby on me now! Hang in there! Elijah thought he was on his way out this weekend too I fell out in the shoe dept of the hamricks store! I just keep running the belly and telling him how much he would rather be in there because it's 100 degrees outside, he gets yummy meals and it's all milk on the outside... bright lights and such. Tell London I said the same thing to her! She and Elijah have to wait till Oct darnit! We ain't ready! Gots stuff to buy and things to do I expect you'll be in my boat now and be a couch to bed warrior! I will pray for you all every day! Love Stacy and Elijah!

So sorry I said you and "lil man". When I read the name I thought I read Landon for some reason and not London. So I hope you and your lil princess will continue to do better and that she decides to stay put for a while.
Girls are awesome!!! I have 4!!
Thank you all for your prayers. We are going home tomorrow morning. London is doing just fine and has decided that she likes it in my tummy so she's staying put (hopefully) for a few more weeks. They have me off everything and are giving me supositories (ewwww ewww and more ewww) of something to settle my stomach and let me eat. I'm also taking pills so that my blood pressure doesn't go crazy. I'm really tired but so happy to have all those needles and cords out and off of me. I can't wait to go home even though I'm going back to my Mom's and that hated bed =D. I'll let you know how it goes. Oh has anyone heard how mommyofonetrying42 and her baby are doing. I know they were going to be induced but was wondering how they were doing.
So glad everything is going well!!! We are all praying for your and lil man:)
oh, that's wonderful news!!!! i hope nothing changes and you get to go home... but you will soooooo have to take it easy!!! :)
Hey girls it's me. I see that Mom answered your questions =D. We are doing great. They are talking about if nothing changes letting us go home on Monday. Meds are working great and we have high hopes. Thanks for all the support and prayers.
Praying London holds out as long as possible and that the meds will keep the preeclampsia under control!!!
all of you are in our prayers!!! i hope that the meds will continue do help and she can make it as far as possible to the 32 week mark. i know this is a scary situation but have faith it will be ok and God is w/ you!
I know how she feels. I just got home on Thursday for pre-term labor and I was on a lot of medications too. The Magnesium sulfate is the worst. It can make you feel like you are on fire and it always givs me really bad headaches. I feel for her. Maybe she will get to go home soon. I am praying for both of them. Keep us updated!
THANK YOU BUDDY AND LISA for the update i pray all goes well with landon and amanda. hang in there
She is on magnesium sulfate for the preeclampsia and contractions, demerol for the pain and to help relax her muscles and it also helps stop contractions, fenegrin for the nausia, & something else that I can't remember right now but it is also for the preeclampsia. She is hooked up to an iv for fluids and nutrition because she can't keep anything down which is partially due to the drugs and partially due to a side effect of the preeclampsia. She is also on various monitors for her and the baby. Right now they are both doing fine but we almost had to deliver twice last night because they couldn't get the labor to stop and the baby's heartbeat kept dropping but everything seems to be going better today. Now that we have the preclampsia under control she should tolerate the meds better. So far we are still looking at a possiability of getting to go home if Amanda keeps responding to the meds otherwise we'll stay in the hospital until after the baby is born. We are trying to make it to a 32-34 week delivery. Due to the IUGR (I'm assuming Amanda has told you about that) the baby will be the equivalant of 28 weeks if we deliver at 32 weeks and the odds would be good for survival, anything before that and we have significantly less favorable odds. They should be able to make it to the 32 week mark as long as the preeclampsia is kept under control. If we can't keep the preeclampsia under control then we will have to deliver London inorder to save Amanda.
By the way, this is Amanda's mom, Lisa. Manda was getting another dose of meds when she was dictating the message for Buddy to type and is already knonked out. I figured I'd answer your questions since she probably won't think to do so for at least a few hours.
So do they have you taking magnesium? London is probably feeling like you are, just a little drugged up. It's probably not as intense to her, though!
SOOOOOOOOO GLAD to hear they're doing what they can to keep the little one in there. Do they have a goal in mind? Like wait until you're at least 32-36 weeks or something before stopping the meds?
Okay ladies, I've got the laptop now. We're in the hosp, and pretty doped up. The bleeding was from the placenta tearing a little more (not too majorly though) but it bled a lot. They have stopped my labor (good call Joy), I'm in the hospital for a while. London's heartrate keeps dropping when I start contracting (happened 5 or 6 times now). Preeclampsia has reared it's ugly head but I'm on meds to help control it and they seem to be working. They have been having a hard time keeping me from contracting and have me on some really strong meds. I'm a little worried about how they'll effect London but I guess it's better for her to be drugged than born so I'll stick with the drugs. Trust me ladies, I am deffinately in happy land =D. Not really sure when I'll get to update again (my husband is actually tying this for me as I talk) but I will update you when I can. Take care and thank you for your prayers and support. Buddy (husband) has read me your comments and all I can say is WOW, I really appreciate the love and support.
Praying!!!
Everyone: they'll most likely put her on bedrest and stop labor if that is what is happening. They'll probably try to keep baby in as long as possible.
Anxiously awaiting an update!
