no contractions? FTM here!!

Hello, I am 36 weeks and 4 days pregnant, and I have not had contractions or so I think.
I don't know what they feel like but I haven't had any pain at all,
My baby is head down already but I am not dialated  as of last Monday,
Is this normal?
My OB doesn't seem concerned at all.

My first 3 children I didn't have any contractions or BH until the day they were born. My first 2 I was over 40 weeks and only dilated to a 1 and was induced. My 3rd, on my due date, I went into the Dr. around 1 in the afternoon, was dilated to a 2 and after the apt started having small contractions. My son was born that night. Unfortunately this is #4, I'm already having bh and I'm only 22 weeks. Uggh... Everyone is different. Your only 36 weeks you've got time. If your Dr. not concerned you shouldn't be.

Sounds normal. I had no Braxton hicks contractions with my first pregnancy, baby didn't 'drop' or engage until labour, and I lost my mucus plug at 41 weeks (went into labour 3 or 4 days later). At 36 and a half weeks, you might still have 5 weeks ahead of you, so don't stress that nothing's happening! Baby is probably very comfortable in there and has lots of growing to do still. Just relax and let your body do it's thing ;)

I'm in the same boat.. I am 39 weeks and 3 days already. No signs of my boy wanting to come out. I only have 4 days left before my due date so I am getting really impatient.
