Positive and neg pregnancy test results

Im so worried and confused!! I need some advice! 2 nights ago I took 3 pregnancy tests, they were clear blue, 1 digital which came up negative and 2 normal ones that both came up positve. On one the line was faint but it was there and the second the line was clearly there. I went to a clinic one day later to get retested and the test was negative. I took 3 more tests at home and they have all been neg. I am only a few days late on my peroid. I have had NO bleeding whatsoever. What does this mean? Is it possible to be be pregnant and get false neg if you have already gotten 2 positives? I want to be pregnant!

Hello all. I have been having strange periods since Jan of this year. I will have one and then skip a month-month and a half. Lasl week I had what I thought could be a period-but it was VERY light pink for 2-3days. Never heavy enough to have a tampon or pad. I took the kind of test that the doctor office uses and the first one came out positive. I have since taken a few more test of the same brand and then a digital one, which have came back negative..What is going on? I haven't had any symptons except being tired and crankish.. Help is greatly needed.. I am also 22 years old.

that was the same way mine was. soo faint but it was there. it means that you do have the pregnancy hormone in your bady go to the nearest clinic right away. ask if they can do a urine and a blood test to really see if you are

I agree with Nickie.  Also, some tests are more sensitive than others.  I have heard and read that the digitals are less sensitive than the regular tests, meaning that the regular line tests may pick up a positive while a digital still reads negative.  Also, the tests that doctors offices usually use are less sensitive too.  They are usually 50-100 mIu whereas the home ones are around 25.

I recommend that you use a First Response Early Result test and take it first thing in the morning like Nickie said.  I have never had a false positive with one of those.  Good luck.

Well it could really go either way at this point. It could have been a chemical pregnancy (where you get an egg that implants and starts producing HcG and then doesn't make so the pregnancy terminates naturally) or it could be that your urine was diluted and it messed with the accuracy of the test. I would say wait and take a test first thing in the morning right after you get up in the morning and see what happens. Make sure you hold your urine for at least 3-4 hours before doing the test to help to not dilute your urine. Good luck!
