Positive, then negative, pregnancy test results after Ovitrelle

Hello, I took a trigger Ovitrelle injection shot last Saturday, it's now been 10 days, and I hve a negative pregancy test result. I took the test on day 7 and also on day 9 and it was positive, but I think that must have been the Ovitrelle still in my system. Now it is negative, is that 100% accurate?

After trigger ovulation occurs after 24 to 36 hours .best it to have intercourse after 24 hours and 34_36 hours latter if plan is natural conception. In cases of planned IUI, most doctor suggest abstinence for 2 days, so that the best semen sample is collected for I U I . Trying to conceive is trial of patience and perseverance. So friends don't give up hope and have faith in the supreme.

I know its easier said than done..I am sailing in the same boat.day 9 post trigger , had spotting. So my mind is a pendulum between positive result (implantation)and negative(failure to conceive)...

Regarding the dosage , of hcg for recombinant hcg is 250 and urinary hcg is 5000 or 10000 IU depending on follicle size.to get correct positive pregnancy test wait 14 days post trigger. If no menses after that and yet neg pregnancy test wait 2 weeks to recheck , cause early pregnancy may not produce sufficient hcg.before 14 days of trigger , it can be false positive test.

I feel very down after the negative result, as I was so hopeful, stupid I know to test early, but still it's so hard not to. Thank you and finger's crossed for you too.

Hi, The ovidrelle injection has the hormone hcg in it which is the same hormone you produce when you are pregnant and that gave you a false positive.  It takes about 10-14 days to go out your system.  But if you say you got a BFN now, then that means it is out of your system.  Wait a few more days and if AF doesn't come, then maybe you'll get a real BFP.  Best of luck...Hope we'll both get a BFP in the next few days.
