Possible Pregnancy.

I need some help. I am 20 years old and have been on birth control since October 2008. I have been on the generic of Ortho-tri cyclen- low. I have switched to non generic because the generic lost its patent.
My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex, but he always pulls out and I have never missed a pill. I have always started on Wednesday, and randomly the last two months I have started Thursdays. This month I had a yeast infection and took prescription Diflucan. And I had to take to to kill off the yeast infection. I had some bleeding yesterday, so I out in a tampon. I went to change it, and there was no blood on it. So this morning, when I went pee in the morning, there was a lot of blood. So I inserted a tampon and went to change it, and again...very little to no blood. It has been in me for about 3 and a half hours. I have had really bad cramps as if I was on my period. I have a pregnancy test but haven't taken it yet, because I think it might be to early for a test to show if it is positive. What should I do? Is it from changing BC, or taking Diflucan ( I have taken it before, but it has never altered my period), or possible pregnancy. I can't go to the doctor because I do not live in the city where my insurance is valid.   PLEASE HELP!

I went from the generic to the actual brand. Would that still change it? I have had 4 yeast infections since December, and I got rid of this one. Thank God. And this morning I took a pregnancy test and it came out negative. And I have a little bit heavier flow, but still not like normal. If I stick a q-tip up me ( in know not the smartest idea), it comes out really bloody, So I know there is blood up there, it just isn't coming out like normal.

The changes in your cycle (bleeding days) could definitely be from changing from the Brand (Ortho) to the Generic. Generic medications can have a variance of the main ingredients. As far as the Diflucan goes, first I hope it got rid of your yeast infection - if not try Terrazole, it's a vaginal cream. So I don't think it will weaken the effectiveness of your BC pill. Sometimes on a pill your periods will get very light. To give yourself piece of mind, go ahead and take the pregnancy test. If your period is due or you are currently a day or so "late" it should tell you if you ar pregnant. From reading your question though it does not sound like you are pregnant. Good luck.

Well i do know that certain antibiotics do stop the effectivness of birth control and there is the possibility of getting pregnant from the pull out method. I would wait to see if it comes, stress is always a factor when waiting to get your period. If it doesn't come within a few days I would take that pregnancy test just to see.
