Oh.. I thought that meant like cleaning... I am petrafied of dentists LOL....
Make me so scared. And I'd rather give birth without any medication everyday than go to a dentist....
But I dont have a midwife when I am meant to.. I have had my booking in Apt thats it and thats when I was like 7 weeks..... so I have NO clue whats going on, and nothing was explained to me properly, and I'm meant to have an Apt every 3 weeks.....

well yes Cassandra that's true but minimal depends on how serious the problem is...if your teeth are so infected that they'll cause you and your baby health risks, "minimal" is getting them removed so that there's no more danger...so yeah, that's true hehe :)
You have to be at least 14 weeks before a dentist will see you. I had x-rays taken and 4 cavities filled when I was 16wks.

I was told that they will do minimal treatment whilst pregnant...
Hmmm x
well unless it's causing serious problems as far as infections go they won't take them out. my wisdom teeth were impacted and causing some serious infections that were resistant to everything when I was pregnant with my daughter and they scheduled the surgery for the 2nd trimester...I ended up canceling because they got better before the surgery and I didn't want an unnecessary surgery, but they can do it if they have to it just has to be a really good reason.
Oh, My dentist refused to take mine out... even though I have WAY too many teeth and have already have had 4 removed and my wisdom teeth are causing serious problems they wont take them out, they told me to wait and they will take them out straight away after.....
GR!
Thanks ladies! That what I needed to know. :-)
actually that's not true...they'll remove them in the middle of your second trimester if you REALLY need them out (like if they're impacted) but if they're just normal, healthy wisdom teeth no they won't remove them. all surgery during pregnancy is a risk and they'll only do it if there's a clear need for it, but yes if your teeth are impacted and there's a serious risk they will remove them because your dental health is INCREDIBLY important while pregnant and abscesses or infections during pregnancy caused by impacted wisdom teeth can cause serious problems including fetal death.
They wont remove them whilst you are pregnant they wont even give you fillings! The only thing they can do it a routine check up and maybe clean your teeth. I need my wisdom teeth out as well but I gotta wait until Jan. LOL

no. nothing from dentist beside cleaning is safe. you have to wait. good luck
