I have a daughter who will be three in december and this time last year I tried to potty train her by giving her stickers everytime she went. Well, regardless of stickers she was terrified of the toilet so I just had to let it go. Lol. Now here about two months ago we started back up again and she wears panties all day and will get up on the toilet and poop and pee by herself with no assistance from me or my husband. Shes potty trained except for at night which I am still working on. But I would say when the child is ready shell start complaining about being wet or a dirty diaper immediately and when that happens id say she's ready. So like someone else said, dont force it. Reassure her how good it is to go potty like a big girl and make her feel like thats what youre supposed to do. Good luck! Hope that helps a little!!
My daughter was potty trained at 16 months its possible but very time consuming! If you have the time and patience go for it!! Well worth it!!
I was potty trained at 11 months by watching my mom on the toilet and eventually we'd go to the bathroom together and it just came naturally I plan to do this with my daughter as well.
I was potty trained by eighteen months entirely. About an hr after eating mom would have me sit and look thru a picture book. If iIwent iI got a sucker, eventually I figured it out.
My degree is in child development, so I can you it depends on your child. What I would suggest is attempting to potty train over a couple days, but if it's not going well, stop. Don't get frustrated or force it. Some children cannot recognize needing to go and you will see that within a couple days of trying. Try making it a game with rewards for going. Good luck!!
Personally I think it is to soon. But depends on culture the individual child and personal choice.
