So,Saturday I will be three weeks postpartum..I am beyond craving sex.just looking at my hubby makes me want him like never before!i know your supposed to wait til your six week checkup, but would it hurt to go ahead and try?i had an episiotomy and I tore but I am no longer sore down below and my bleeding is no longer red,it's just like a clear/yellow mucus with some blood mixed in.not much at all and it starts and stops.yes I am aware that I could get pregnant but we plan on takin all precautions necessary.do you ladies have any advice?sorry if this is tmi.

Thanks ladies!i guess we could always give it a try and if it hurts, stop of course.i just feel like I'm ready, don't get me wrong,my body might not be,but I guess that's the purpose in "trying"..to find out.

Tbh.. It's your body.. I did it after 1 week.. I don't care, ppl can say I'm dumb  doing it.. But I know my body best. I was up front with my Dr at my 3 week check up.. (my Dr does 3 and 6 week check ups)  and she was  OK with it as long as I was using protection. I would say you are safe to try it.. I have had three children and sex before 6 weeks with all of them and  didn't get an infection.

I don't think it will hurt to try hey you never know if you don't try. I heard a couple people tried like 2weeks after and had no prob. I waited beyond 6weeks cuz when we did try it hurt to much.

They tell you to wait so that you can heal properly. You could get serious infections if you aren't healed and have sex.
