Bactira vaginosis during early pregnancy

So I have been having a burning sensation when BDing. I went to my OB last Tuesday and mentioned that I thought I might have BV I've had it a few times. I seem to never get yeast infections but the oposite over growth causing BV. He didn't even test me for it because he said that I can't treat it in the first 12 wks of pregnancy once I get past that I can then take the flagyl antibiotic.

He gave me script for a yeast infection said it would treat the symptoms my only concern is that it will make it worse due to already not enough yeast due to the over growth of BV.

Anyone else had this in early pregnancy and what did you do? I've tried to google but didn't find much info.

I think that yeast infections and UTI's are more common, but BV is too

Is bv common in early pregnancy? I think there are two common infections and bv is one of them but im not sure. I might be preg and I think I have it too, I've had it once before and now a few months later its come back. I'm making an appointment tomorrow for the doc. I would only be a few weeks preg so I dont think a test would be positive. I'll let you know what the doc says maybe it can help u
