no period since stopped taking yaz

my 17 year old daughter hasn't had her period since she stopped taking yaz we had her in the emergency room for terrible cramps and she has taken several home pregancy test and they all come back negative.  When she stopped taking yaz could this have caused her to stop her periods she never was regular until she took yaz.

I'm going through the same thing right now. I got off the pill in july and haven't had a period since August. I always had normal periods before I started taking the pill. My doctor told me it's normal to not have regular periods right away. She said my hormones are messed up. I'm going to start taking progesterone so I can get a period.

When you get off of birth control it can mess up your cycle for a couple months which may cause cramping and missed/delayed periods. Best thing to do is request a blood test to see if she is for sure not pregnant and if she isn't then maybe look into something that will regulate her.
