Pregnancy complications

I'm 20 weeks and I've just got an amniocentesis done and it revealed that my amniotic fluid is brown and that I have 2 large fibroids. Can anyone give me some words of encouragement because I'm really scared, depresses, and I have to make myself eat for my baby.

Are they giving you a reason why your fluid may be brown?  They dont think the baby has passed any meconium do they?  It's way too early for that to happen.  Sometimes a very small tear in the bag allows a little blood to seep in and mix with the fluid to make the color change.  Did your Dr express any concern about it?  Just stay prayed up I'm sure all will be ok.  When you talk to your doc tell him you would like all of the info he can give up be it good or bad so you know what signs to watch for so you wont worry so much!  I hope this helps.

Wow I didn't even know they could tell what color the amniotic fluid is. I even got a 3-d ultrasounds. I honestly have never heard of this but like the last poster said I will keep you in my prayers.
