I went to my doc today n they said I have to wait till I'm 38w to find out if its a boy or girl cuz my insurance only covers 2 u/s n I already had one done...now I have to wait till the last min to get stuff :'(...
To the poster above me not all places will do an ultrasound to check fetal movement. They usually so that if while on monitors things don't look good. So that's not a good idea for many reasons ....
Okay don't judge me or anything like that but here is a sneak around the 2 ultrasound thing, I never did it but my girlfriends have. So they told my girlfriend the same thing and her little one was being difficult. So around 27wks she told her doctor she was cramping and the babies movements were slowed down. ( wrong i know) but they brought her in and did an ultrasound just to make sure everything was Okay, and because it was a safety issue for the baby the insurance covered it. Under an emergency kinda thing.
Really? With my first daughter I had one at 38w to determine her size and was told that she was too cramped to be able to verify gender. If I were you I would search for help from friends and family members to pay for a private one. Plenty of people go their entire pregnancies not knowing, but I personally feel like it's easier to prepare if you know gender.
hmm...my insurance covers as many as NEEDED. strange! have them check again at 30wks!! say you want to make sure the growth is great :P
