Pregnancy test during your period

Hi there, I last had unprotected sex 4 weeks ago (coming up to 5) I say unprotected, but i am on the birth control pill and it was on the day before my period is due on the 7 day break! I started to panic that i had fallen pregnant but did get my period that month (end of March). I was still worried so took a HPT 4 days before my April period was due (they said it can pick it up that early) it turned out negative. I then did get my April period on the Monday (it usually comes btween the sat and the mon after my last pill). I did take another pregnancy test today, 2nd day of my period (the period seems pretty normal, ie no heavier or lighter than usual). This too came out negative. I am thinking i should go to the drs though to get a blood test to make sure as I am def not ready to have a kid!!! Do you think my chances of being pregnant are high???Also, can taking a HPT during your period affect the results???

no you do not get your period when your pregnant

Ok, thank you very much. I am just so worried that I will go along thinking, "ah, i have my period and i have two negative tests so i am not pregnant" but the tests could be wrong and you can still get your period during pregnancy so then i when i do find out i am pregnant (obvioulsy if i am pregnant) then it will be too late for any options!!

you would not need to take a pregnancy test being that your on your period.

if your "def not ready to have a kid" then ues condoms in addition to birth control.

I would say your not pregnant.you've been having periods,( you dont have periods in pregnancy)  you may bleed but not a true period.all tests have been coming back negative.what makes you think you could be.if you want to put your mind at rest then request blood test,but i would say no your not.
