Whadeskes this mean?

Hi I'm wondering if I might be pregnant although I'm almsot 100% positive that I am not. I've been on the nuva ring consistently for 3 years. My boyfriend and I almost always use a condom as well. We haven't had sex in about a month, 3 weeks at the least. The past week or two I have been very tired all the time and I've chalked it up to having to wake up in the middle of the night to pee (which usually NEVER happens). I didn't think I could be pregnant until I saw that these symptoms could be a sign of pregnancy. Then I remembered that my last period was much much lighter than usual and I should start my period again one week from today. Does it seem like I could be pregnant? Would it be too early for a home pregnancy test and would the hormones from birth control affect the accuracy of a test?

The odds are very low, but are not nonexistent. They can be signs of pregnancy, but they can also be signs of dozens of other things. Birth control doesn't carry the HCG hormone, so no it wouldn't affect a test in anyway. Wait to see how your next period comes, and if it's late or different, take a pregnancy test with first morning urine.

It would be a little too early for a pregnancy test.  You may just be getting tired because your period is on the way.  I normally get so tired a few days before my period comes.  Have you been drinking more before going to bed?  Have you increased your fluid intake?  That could be making you pee a lot at night.  Also are you having any burning with urination or frequency throughout the day?  If so then maybe you want to talk with your doctor and see if maybe you have a urinary tract infection.  I don't think you are pregnant but I can' completely say no because if you have sex it could happen.  You use condoms and birth control though so your chances are very very low.  If you are late for your period test.  If you are under stress it could cause your period to be late or if you exercise or had a weight loss/gain.  Good luck and try not to worry.

All I can say is take a home test and see what it says. Use a First Response Early Result and definitely not a blue dye test. I wish you the best of luck.
