Pregnancy

Today I visited my Gyn. for a pap smear. I didn't ask for a pregnancy test but don't they usually give you one anyway. Is it possible to be pregnant and for it not to show up in the urine?

I told them my last period which was Feb.9th so I'm assuming they would have known to check.

If they did a pap and you were 5 weeks...your cervix would be obvious to your drs. Once you get preg it seals up and becomes engorged. Im sure they would have noticed. They dont automatically do preg tests at routine paps...but they should have asked you your LMP and if you are late they should have...did you tell them you were late?

I should already be 5 weeks pregnant, which is like a week after my missed period. My sister said her friend has 3 children and her pregnancies never showed up in an urine test. She had to take blood tests.

they can do a pregnancy test but you would have to ask them. and yes it is possible to not show up on the pregnancy test and that could make it an false positive because you could have tested too early. but if you do the HPT 6 days before your missed period it could show up or it might not. like today i have a friend that did and HPT like 4 or 5 days ago and it showed up negitive and she went to her doctor and they did an HPT and it was positive.
