Pregnant after Miscarriage?

Hi everyone,

I had a miscarriage on 04/16/2010. I was diagnosed with a blighted ovum at 11 weeks, and then was administered medication to start the miscarriage on 04/16/2010. When I went to the doctor two days later they confirmed that it was a complete miscarriage and my pregnancy symptoms completely deceased, though I still had some uterine lining to shed, such as I would during a period. This process lasted three weeks, and during that time my hcg levels fell from 112,000 to 420. They did not do another hcg test though an hpt I took later showed up as negative (hopefully evidence of no more pregnancy hormones).
After three weeks of bleeding I had two weeks of spotting and mucus discharge. Now this week, no spotting. I am starting to get all of the odd pregnancy symptoms which I had experienced almost immediately after conception with my first pregnancy, such as extreme fatigue, breast tenderness, acne, runny nose and constant sneezing and the runs (which I rarely experience except for when I was pregnant), and dizziness and very low blood sugar levels. Does anyone know if it is it possible to get pregnant so soon after miscarriage, and would it have been possible to get pregnant during the two weeks of spotting/discharge? We did have unprotected sex during this time. I was just curious is anyone has had a similar experience, and if it is a possibility that it is a new pregnancy, or could it just be leftover hormones from the miscarried pregnancy.

Yes, you can get pregnant immediately after a MC.

You need to take a test and if positive let your doctor know asap.  Sometimes after a MC hormones are a little skewed (which can cause another MC) so its important to make sure all your levels are in order.
