Pregnant after miscarriage

Hi,

I had a miscarriage 4 weeks ago - the midwife told me to do a pregnancy test two weeks later which i did and it was a faint positive.  Since then I have done a test at 3 weeks later then 4 weeks later both showing a strong positive. I have had sex since miscarriage - could I be pregnant?

Thanks

Nicky

You might need to get your hcg levels checked.  I myself had a miscarriage, and it took two months for the hcg levels to fall to zero again. I have had friends as well, that it took months for their levels to fall.  A month after I had my miscarriage I was still testing positive on a HPT, but the doctor confirmed it was my HCG still dropping. Best of Luck.

It could be a new pregnancy and actually studies show that getting pregnant right after a miscarriage more often than not  does lead to a healthy pregnancy.

Hi Kate,

Thanks for your comments :0)) - I feel like im going out of my mind at the moment.  Wondering if this could still be the hgc left over from the miscarriage or whether this could actually be a new pregnancy?  I dont want to get my hopes up so I will go to the docs next week.

Thanks again
