If youre over weight and not below or at a healthy weight its fine as long as youre eating enough healthy food. I became over weight with my first after him i was 170 then when i got pregnant with my second i gained 26 so after ti had him and lost the normal baby weight i ended up at 176 lbs which is over weight for me. So before this little surprise i decided to make a lifestyle change i lost 26lbs and hit a healthy weight i was 15 lbs away from my goal then found out i was pregnant its definitely my biggest struggle right now but i still exercise and eat healthy im 10 weeks and ive gained 1lb im determined not to gain more then 20lbs this pregnancy. But if you are over weight then still ask your doctor if its okay as long as you dont do it dangerously like push yourself too hard working out or starving yourself. But if you switch to a healthy diet eating 3 small meals and 2 snacks a day and exercise 3 or more times a week its very likely to safely lose weight while pregnant. Or what might happen is you will stay the same but maybe not gain a lot of weight whoch is also good. Ive met women whowere over weight and did that gain only like 10lbs then after baby lost more then what they gained just dont be discouraged if you dont lose any and first speak to your doctor.
I was 195 or so on this pregnancy and my first pregnancy. My first pregnancy I lost almost 20 lbs and this pregnancy I lost 10 lbs. It is actually normal to lose weight, as long as you aren't doing it on purpose like starving yourself or pushing to hard on exercising.
I recommend don't eat fried fatty stuff, drink homemade fresh juices. Eat vegies and meat properly. Don't snack on chips or bakery items.
After pregnancy you can eat anything less sugary with oats all the time. Oats gives you energy amd helps you loose weight like magic. Like you loose around 2 to 3 pounds a week. My doctor tells yhis to everyone and it worked.
