visit to the nicu

So im 29 weeks and been having complications so staying at the hospital on bed rest today they took me and my boyfriend to the nicu on a tour so i will know what will happen with my baby if he cones early. I think it was a big mistake, i lost it before we even walked through the doors. Then they showed me a baby 29 weeks that was born today. I could not control myself and cried hysterically. Word of advice skip the tour of the nicu if ever given the chance to go.

It may have been scary today, but if god forbid your little boy ends up there you will be thankful.  Hang in there & stay positive :-)

You are right, if my son is put there i will be more prepared but it was one of the hardest thingsivhave ever done and seen i think.

I wish i could have toured the nicu before my son was born. I was so scared when he was born. Didn't know where they were taking him or what they were going to do. I didn't even know what floor the nicu was on. It would have been nice to be prepared and some insight on what happens in there. I didn't get to see him for 48hrs after he was born due to my extremely high bp so my mind wondered.
