Small Heart at 12 weeks pregnant
Ok ...so we all just found out that my sister is pregnant. This is her second pregnancy.She is 12-13 weeks along. She got a call from her doctor saying that the baby's heart is small for its "age" BUT its still going strong and beating well! He said not to worry...but how can you tell someone that and them not worry? Seriously?! Does anyone know or think of something that would cause this? Anyone ever hear of it? Know what its called? She does smoke...but she has cut down ALOT! I am pretty sure now that its down to just 3 a day. If that. Could someone shed some light on this? I have been trying to google it up and I find nothing. Thanks!
No, nothing was wrong in her first pregnancy. And the baby was born full term every thing was perfect. Idk...I will keep searching. When do they usually start measurements?
I didn't think they did heart measurments or anything like that at 12-13 weeks. Did she have complications with her first pregnancy to warrent an u/s with fetal measurments this early? Strange...
