Question for mom's with twins!

I am 26 years old will be 27 in November.  I am on my 4th pregnancy.  I have started wandering if I might be having twins.  All of this started when I had a bunch of different people make jokes that I am having twins!  They weren't joking on the size of my stomach or anything, just made casual jokes that I am having twins.  I am 9 1/2 weeks pregnant now and up until now I have been questioning if I really am pregnant!  I never had any symptoms and the only reason I took a pregnancy test was because I was 4 days late and I hadn't started my period.  I never had any morning sickness with any of my 3 previous pregnancies (all singletons).  However, I have been nauseous many many times with this one.  No terribly nauseous but enough to either keep me from eating or make me eat so I don't get sick.  I have also been feeling movement in my uterus and I am already growing out of my clothes.  I know that you get bigger earlier with each pregnancy, but there is still that paranoia in my mind that it could be twins.  I would just like to hear from other mom's of twins what their pregnancies were like in the beginning and see if anyone else thinks I might be possibly having twins or is it just my mind playing tricks on me.  I also don't have any history of twins in my family!

I had that same "feeling" with my last pregnancy.  Turned out to be just one tho.

my first ultrasound is in 3 weeks. I will be 12 weeks then.  I heard that the more previous pregnancies you have had, the higher your chances increase for having twins.  It is just weird this time that everyone seems to want to make jokes that I am having twins.  No one ever really made those jokes with my last 3.  One mom I talked to said that with all of her previous pregnancies, she automatically knew she was pregnant and had all her symptoms but with her twins, through most of her first trimester, she constantly questioned whether or not she was really pregnant!  That is how I have been up until now.  With all of my other pregnancies, I just knew I was pregnant even before I took my pregnancy tests.  This time I only took my pregnancy test bc I had finally realized that I was 4 days late.  Even then I still didn't really believe that I was pregnant.  I have been like that up until this past week!

I had twins and the beginning of my pregnancy was completely normal. I wasn't excessively nauseous, no vomiting, nothing. The only reason I was even sick was because I had the flu.

The only difference between my pregnancy and my friends who had one baby was that by the 3rd trimester I was huge and you could see two sets of hands and feet kicking at the same time.

Thanks Joy!  I am having a few similar symptoms that I had with my daughter that I didn't have with my two boys.  I am breaking out on my face and my bowels are giving me a hard time.  Those symptoms are also making me think and hope that it is a girl whether it be twins or just one!  I'm not sure how I feel about the idea of having twins, I don't really want twins but if I am having twins, I will still be happy about both of them.  I was only planning on having 4 kids but God has His own plan for all of us and I will be happy with whatever He gives us!  Congratulations to you too!

PS - No baby movements yet. Baby is too small and the uterus is still tucked under the pubic bone. What you're feeling could be bowel movements/gas as your bowels are shifting north to make room for your growing womb. I'm not sure if women with twins have felt movement that early either so I can't answer to that respect.

This is my fourth pregnancy and I'm also 26. I've been more nauseous and miserable this pregnancy than my others as well. This will be our fourth daughter (so all four were the same gender yet I'm more ill feeling this time). No twins here. Each pregnancy is unique and different! I LOOK like I am having twins (or maybe it is just in my mind because no one has said anything but... I look huge).

Congrats!
