Really? Eclipse? No. Rant

So I've heard a few versions of this now. The "blood moon" lunar eclipse will cause early labor, or birth defects, or even lycanthrope (werewolf) children, unless you wear red underwear, or pins of some sort, or put keys on in some way. I have to say, to each their own, but in my opinion it's pure superstitious nonsense. Absolutely NONE of this had a scientific basis. There's never been a sudden bout of cities of women going into early labor, no cities full of children with defects all at once, etc. I couldn't imagine taking any of it seriously myself. I'm not even going by the thought of better safe than sorry. And even if it DID affect you (it wont.) wearing colorful underwear or a lil metal pin wouldn't help. I guess I just can't believe it. But, people have believed in sillier things and still do. Call it hormones, but this ones just funny

For the second time, I'm talking about a legend about a lunar eclipse. Never talked about full moons. I know it's the busiest time for them. Doesn't mean all women in the cities that can see it suddenly have birthing issues. Sorry, sticking to my guns on this  one. Politically correct or not.

I believe she was saying that the moon has nothing to do with a babies health as far as birth issues like deformalities and things like that!

Not about women going into labor on full moons and all of that!!

If your going to argue about it then why bother, unless you just like the drama!   Let's all be women here and just let it go, stop commenting and call that the end of this rant!

This is becoming political correctness gone too far. Lunar events don't cause birthing issues. Really.

Silly or not, you shouldn't laugh at people for their beliefs. Especially not in their faces like this. I hope you have a great pregnancy and a healthy baby, I also hope no one laughs at you, like you are doing to these women, for something they find "silly".

I never talked about a full moon. I'm going with what doctors say, which is that this is LEGEND and unfounded in science. The legend has many forms, in many native cultures around the world. Doesn't mean it's still not funny to me. Like I said, to each their own.

I don't mind some not believeing but to laugh is a bit much- I read you posted "humans are silly creatures", well hun aren't we silly?
To speak of an old wives tales the least you can do is get educated on it before saying any remarks.  The full moon may bring on labor,  and the eclipse could cause the defects know the difference between one and the other.  May God be with you and your child, as I do not wish harm upon others- but from my experience I've seen plenty people bite their tongues for smart comments as yours.  Have a good night.  :)

Oh please. This is pretty funny. A key or red undies won't prevent birth defects. I'm once again siding with science on this one. Rude or not.

Full moons can put you into labor lol I witnessed that first hand I went into labor during a full moon went to the hospital where the entire OB floor was full of women in labor nurse told me some of them were only 23-25 weeks along & in full blown labor. I had my daughter the next day. But that place was packed & it was a huge hospital.

How disrespectful. I admit I've ranted on here before, but this is not the place to rant and make fun of people's beliefs. How rude.

Oh my goodness, lycanthrope babies?! LMAO!! I hadn't heard that one yet...I almost just peed, I laughed so hard reading that. I know you're peeved about the posts and I'm not trying to be insensitive to that fact, but I'm having a hard time making it past that one part. Thank you for making my night :-)
