Really early pregnant and fear of a 2nd miscarriage

I had a miscarriage a few months ago after trying for our 2nd baby for a year. I have recently found out we are pregnant again and I must admit I am absolutely petrified of it happening again. The last 1 i had a funny feeling the second I found out however I was still obviously very distraught. This time I feel good I have some good signs and just generally have a better feeling however I'm still soooooo scared that it's going to happen again. Every cramp in my stomach I'm thinking oh God no then find myself checking all the time to make sure there's no blood. I'm currently 4-5 weeks and really just wondering if anyone has been in this situation and or nos what these little light cramps could be. I need my mind putting to rest. Thank you

It's a blood test to check you hcg hormone and you can only do them with your doctor as the blood needs to be sent away. I misscarried in middle of march and was pregnant by the end of it. I was dead sure every time I had a cramp that it was happening again and then when I had done blood I was convinced it was the end but nope I'm 29 weeks and she is completely healthy.

I know they can make you feel stupid for asking questions. You can always do those tests to see what your levels are. I really think you will be fine hun. I have a very cheeky 15 month old girl now which I thought would never happen.  Keep me posted every so often with your pregnancy I know it will be fine xx

Hi hun.  I was the same after my miscarriage.  But like u say you feel when something isn't right.  I felt good with my Nxt pregnancy and it was fine had no problems.  U never fully relax to the baby is born but you get more confidence that everything is fine.  If you are ever concerned just how and see your doctor. Fingers crossed everything is good for you this time xx

Thank you so much for such a nice reply. I'm soooooo glad I'm not alone. It's so scary.  I did have a bad feeling last time like I knew I didn't want to tell people I didn't want to make a gp appointment or anything this time I feel better and more confident but strangely more worried about it happening again. All we want is a healthy little baby to extend our family. I just worry with every little niggle I get and I'm only 4.5 weeks especially come the end of the day I seem to ache more. Really hoping all goes well. My only thing with contacting doctors is how awful they were last time. Xx

It's so easy to feel alone in these situations, mainly because it is so frowned upon to talk about miscarriages (especially early ones).
I'm not holding my breath that he'll be here soon. My first was over a week late, so I'll just assume he will be as well. :)

Pressed the wrong button ... typical me lol. Oh I really hope it's not to long for you and all goes well. It definitely is not a conversation many people want to talk about which is why I'm glad I've found this. I needed to know other women have experienced the cramping in healthy pregnancy

I totally understand how your feeling.  I had a miscarriage mid-December and found out I was pregnant again in February. Honestly, I've been paranoid this entire pregnancy. Tomorrow is my due date and even until this point I have checked for blood and had a small panic if I don't feel the baby moving as much.  Best advice is to try to stay relaxed and positive.  There are so many people who have a perfectly healthy pregnancy soon after a miscarriage.

I am so glad (although the awful circumstances) that I am not alone! I really am trying to stay as calm as possible. I keep note on all my symptoms to ensure I still have them. I'm so scared of it happening again I just want this baby to be healthy. I didn't expect to get pregnant this quickly after and I thought I'd feel totally fine but I'm so much more paranoid and notice everything this time around. My 1st pregnancy with my little boy went absolutely fine so I'm hoping this pregnancy is going to be exactly the same. Thank you for your reply and I really hope your baby doesn't keep you waiting to much longer.

Literally the same amount of time between as me. I'm glad I'm not the only one. I'm so scared of it happening again, I haven't told anyone and haven't wanted to book a gp appointment.  Now I no of York success I feel a little better. Did you have the slight cramping In the beginning the 2nd time around? I'm looking forward to being at the 12 week mark. Thank you for your reply.
